Teledyne Cuts Ribbon on Playground at Rock Creek Park in Lewisburg, TN

 


Thanks to an idea from young Jackson Davis, Teledyne worked with a committee of city officials and volunteers to donate funds for a wonderful playground at Rock Creek Park (right in front of the Marshall County Memorial Library).

Public Input Sought on National Electronic Vehicle Infrastructure Plan

 


The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) in conjunction with The Tennessee Department of Environment & Conservation (TDEC) will host an in-person discussion, to gather public input on the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Deployment plan.

 

The meeting will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. CT at the following location:

The Departments welcome feedback from the public and relevant stakeholders on the NEVI Formula Program planning process and have developed a website and on-line survey at www.tn.gov/evplan. The meeting is being held to provide the public an opportunity to provide comments regarding the Tennessee Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (TEVI) Deployment Plan. Representatives of TDOT and TDEC will be available to provide information on various aspects of this proposed project. Anyone with questions regarding the meeting should contact:

WESTHILLS 6TH GRADERS EARN "JOBS" WITH LOCAL EMPLOYERS

 


Westhills Elementary hosted 6th Grade Interview & Resume` Contest with help from HR Departments of ICP (Carrier), Marelli and Teledyne. Each student in the 6th grade provided resume`s and condcuted interviews for a chance to earn "jobs" with each of the employers. Those ready to be hired today and start work with participating employers are Annie Chamberlin, Teyanna Wilson, Kaycee Barnes, Matthew Brindle and Madison Mason.

Women in Business Luncheon 2022 in Lewisburg, TN - Empowered Women Improve the Bottom Line

 


JECDB Director Emily Darnell pulled together a crew of female leaders in Lewisburg and Marshall County to bring a dream to life in the Women in Business Luncheon held at the Lewisburg Recreation Center on May 13. 

Along with Jennifer Pearson, Lee Bussart, Cary Whitesell, Terri Orr, Louisa Davis, Amanda Humphrey and Melissa Garrett, Darnell brought over 200 women of all ages and from all sectors of the Marshall County economic ecosystem together to hear from native Angie Grissom, owner and Chief Relationship Officer for Rainmaker Companies

Grissom spoke on the theme of the Luncheon "Empowered Women Improve the Bottom Line." Telling her story from Lewisburg to New York and the World, Grissom gave a remarkable presentation that touched the hearts and minds of everyone in the room. 

County Mayor Mike Keny served as emcee and presented three Awards to three deserving recipients: Lacy Hooten - Volunteer of the Year; Jessica Tietgens of Weathered Farmhouse - Business Women of the Year and Cecilia Spivey - Lifetime Achievement. 

The event was so amazing that the first event will become an annual event sure to empower women of Marshall County for years to come.
