The Tennessee Small Business Development Center of MTSU in Murfreesboro came to the Marshall County Joint Economic & Community Development Board meeting held at the Columbia State Community College Campus on March 8, 2022 to present their Rising Star Award to local small business - Bird in a Bush, owned and operated by Tammy Whaley. Bird in a Bush is a clothing and accessories store located in the downtown square of Lewisburg, TN and took full advantage of the resources offered by the TSBDC at MTSU before, during and after the pandemic that forced many small businesses to pivot and adapt.
