The Blackberry Trail through the Lynnville, Tennessee, vicinity begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2016, with invitations to visit businesses and attractions through 6 p.m.
Hosted by the Lynnville Business Association, the Blackberry Trail picks up where the former Blackberry Festival left off. Instead of converging on the historic community of Lynnville for the day, visitors are invited to stop at each participating location in Lynnville and Lewisburg for a special celebration opportunity. Heirloom Glass & Antiques (13411 Columbia Hwy., Lynnville, TN 38472) will be selling fresh blackberries and peaches, featuring antiques and collectables and artists creating handmade jewelry, wood-working , handmade cards and portraits. Tours of the stained glass studio at Heirloom Glass will be conducted upon request.
Lexington Vineyard & Winery (2000 Dog Hollow Rd., Lynnville, TN 38472), which will be featuring Blackberry wine, selling BBQ lunch and hosting local artists from J.T. Pottery and well-known peach seed carver Roger Smith.
Tenn South Distillery (1800 Abernathy Rd., Lynnville, TN 38472) is offering blackberry moonshine, blackberry cocktails and buck dancing with Tennessee hill music. Music from 1-3 p.m. with Thomas Maupin and his banjo playing grandson, Daniel Rothwell, and guests.
Lairdland Farm House and Civil War Museum (3238 Blackburn Hollow Rd., Cornersville, TN 37047) is hosting tours of the Civil War Museum & Traveler's Cottage at the special Festival rates. There is no charge for visiting the gardens and grounds of this property, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and the Tennessee Civil War Trail. Live traditional music will be performed on the porch of the antebellum mansion throughout the day.
Whitehorse Trading Company (1716 Main St., Lynnville, TN 38472) will feature antique vendors, serve blackberry ice cream & blackberry lemonade and provide entertainment with musicians Susan Ruth & Rachel Webster.
Pickers Creek Winery (1986 New Columbia Hwy., Lewisburg, TN 37091) is offering blackberry wine. Stop in for a taste of summer.
Bee Sweet Berry Farm (1442 Globe Rd., Lewisburg, TN 37091) is selling fresh blackberries and blackberry jam. They'll have a band and free hotdogs , too.
Forgie's Fruit Farm (2000 Collier Rd., Lewisburg, TN 37091) is selling fresh peaches.
Milky Way Farm (520 Milky Way Rd., Pulaski, TN 38478) is hosting an tours of the historic manor house at a special Blackberry Trail rate and visits with the animals in the Chandelier Barn. There will be games with prizes and biscuits with blackberry jam & chocolate honey to eat at this National Register-listed home and farm.
In the town of Lynnville visit the shops of Col. Littleton, have a milkshake at Soda Pop Junction and indulge in quilts at the Stitchin’ Station. Take a walk around the community, all of which is listed in National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. Department of the Interior. Visit the Railroad Museum to learn more about the town's history.
In Lewisburg, come and stroll the Square to shop at Bonjour Boutique, have a cup of coffee at Tulatte`, experience the soda fountain at Parsons Pharmacy or take in some local art at the Marshall County Art Guild.
