Once A Tiger, Always A Tiger

MCHS Tiger and Tigerette Coaches and Legends were honored at the Lewisburg Recreation Center on March 5 during an event that celebrated the men and women who started, created and carry on the great Tiger Tradition.
Former Tiger Stars Jason Maxwell, Dwight Robinson, Colby Biggers and Eric Johnson worked with Director of Schools Jackie Abernathy to bring together a host of former Tigers and Tigerettes and all the coaches and mentors who shaped generations of people in Lewisburg during the 70s, 80s and 90s. The event featured a video of Tiger and Tigerette memories and was followed by tributes to coaches, including Fred Shelton, Bob Edens, Joe George, Steve Reese, Mike "Monk" Reese, Don Steely, Louis Conner, Wayne Aldridge, Reese Hambrick, Gary Wells, Roy Dukes, Ray Stacey, Mike Bishop, Ray Steely and David Steely.
The event served as a kickoff event for the formation of the Big Blue Alumni. The Big Blue Alumni is calling all Tigers and Tigerettes - wherever you may be today - to join in an effort to give back to the community and schools that helped to form the people you have become. The goal is to provide the same tradition for the young people who are or will be future Tigers and Tigerettes.

To start, you can purchase the video featured at the event along with photos taken during the event.
